Electrophysiology


Electrophysiological research at the laboratory includes experiments with extra-cellular and intra-cellular recording, voltage clamp and patch clamp techniques, and recording from single cells, from tissue culture, from brain slices, and from cortical neurons in the whole brain preparation.

The laboratory is equipped with a sophisticated electrophysiological set-up including hydraulic floating table, stereotaxic mount, dissection and inverted microscopes, hydraulic micro-manipulators, computerized electrode puller, oscilloscopes, respiratior, and computer with full Digidata 2000 Pclamp program.

In addition, we have recently acquired a new patch-clamp electrode puller and a "Lab-View" hardware and software package.
