Haim and Regina RabinowitzRegina and Haim Rabinowitz

The Haim and Regina Rabinowitz Fund was established in their memory by the Prince and Alayoff families.

Regina and Haim Rabinowitz were both holocaust survivors from Poland. He lost his wife and three adult children, and she was the only remaining member of a family of eighteen. To both Regina and Haim, Israel represented the life-raft for the Jewish people in an indifferent world. Although they were not institutionally religious, they tread the ground of Israel with deep reverence and wished to memorialize their gratitude. In her last years Regina suffered from dementia and it was considered appropriate to support research in the field of the dysfunctional brain. Before his death Haim was able to complete his life's work - a biography of the Rabinowitz Family called "Nine Generations" in which he traces and expounds on the rich heritage of his renowed rabbinical family going back to an original forebear, Harav Itzchak Izik Havar.
